The WEATHER GUARD® Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association (PRCA) is pleased to present the 2022 Bareback Riding current standings – in accordance with the money earnings during the 2022 regular season, the Justin Boots Playoffs and Championships.
Reiner and Jess Pope went back and forth for the top spot all summer, with Reiner eventually securing it. His $160,971 bested Pope’s $159,259.
There are two caveats to Reiner’s No. 1 ranking, though. The first is that although they were tied for virtually all of August and September, the reason they were tied was because Jess Pope missed the last three weeks of July with a foot injury.
The second caveat is that Reiner only narrowly won the title of NFR Average Champion – his average time was only .02 seconds faster than Pope’s.
